Hey, I'm Dan
6 years on the healing adventure and counting!
In 2018, I was living my dream in Ibiza playing guitar full-time at retreats, weddings, and cocktail bars. Life was golden!
Then overnight, everything changed
After a back injury, I woke up unable to move. My nervous system collapsed. I couldn’t work. I could barely walk.
Over the next three years, I went through:
- Blood tests
- MRIs
- Brain scans
- Nerve / muscle conduction tests
Dozens of appointments, but no clear answers
Thankfully lots of nasty conditions were ruled out, yet I still left with no answers. The longing for a diagnosis left my health in tatters, even much worse than when I started!
'There's nothing more we can do for you' said the neurologist. I was heartbroken and terrified.
So I turned to holistic approaches:
More tests, more specialists A few small insights but no magic fix
Eventually, I was given labels: Chronic Anxiety, ME/ CFS, Fibromyalgia, FND, Chronic Anxiety and Depression.
But the biggest shift came when I started doing the inner work:
- Rewiring my nervous system
- Having hard conversations
- Setting boundaries I used to be terrified of
- Finding a positive community that understood my challenges
- Taking full ownership of my lifeI’ve had setbacks.
I’ve wanted to give up more than once.
But today I’m walking, swimming, making music again. I’m running a business I love. I’m living.
